Crisis Supporter Workplace Training
Crisis Supporter Workplace Training (CSWT) is a workplace training program that builds skills of members of the general public in becoming Lifeline Crisis Supporters. Lifeline’s Crisis Supporters provide support to people in Australia who are having difficulty coping and may be at risk of suicide.
Who can become a Lifeline Crisis Supporter?
Anyone is eligible to apply, provided the following criteria are met:
Must be 18 years or over
Must be willing to undertake a Criminal Record Check prior to acceptance into training
Must be an Australian resident
Must demonstrate the relevant attributes as outlined in the Crisis Supporter Position Description
Must be willing and able to meet all annual accreditation requirements, including regular shifts, logged in hours, professional development and supervision

Units of Competency Covered:
Lifeline Macarthur on behalf of Lifeline Australia RTO 88036, complies with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTO).
Lifeline’s CSWT offers a nationally recognised qualification in the following 3 units of competency:
- CHCCCS003 Increase the safety of individuals at risk of suicide
CHCCCS019Recognise and respond to crisis situations
CHCCCS028Provide client-centred support to people in crisis
Cost of Course:
$550 which is payable prior to commencement of training.
Lifeline Macarthur offers CSWT commencing on the following dates:
7th April 2018
16th June 2018
4th August 2018
6th October 2018
All courses are undertaken at our Smeaton Grange centre and are delivered by qualified trainers.
How to become a Lifeline Crisis Supporter:
Annual Accreditation Requirements:
Minimum 92 logged in hours
Minimum 8 hours professional development per year
Regular supervision and call coaching
Criminal Record Check every two years
