Lifeline Macarthur and Western Sydney provides free financial counselling to help reduce the burden on families and improve the health and well-being of our communities. We hope that relieving the pressure that people experience from financial difficulty will reduce the risk of suicide incidence and ideation and improve the mental health of people in our community.

Our financial counsellors can help
This free, professional and confidential service is for those experiencing financial challenges. It is provided by accredited financial counsellors who can help you to explore your options, provide advocacy and support when dealing with creditors and help with budgeting. People that seek out our financial counsellors often have:

Difficulty meeting financial commitments
Pending legal action regarding debts
Experiencing harassment from creditors or debt collectors
Please note that our Financial Counsellors do not lend money, but can provide you with options, information and guidance.
What to bring to a financial counselling appointment
Please bring any helpful paperwork to your appointment, including:
Any recent correspondence from creditors
Credit card, home loan and personal loan statements
Recent bills including electricity, gas, rates, insurance, phone and/or internet, car expenses
Proof of income - payslips or Centrelink statements
All of our financial counsellors are accredited by FCAN (Financial Counsellors'Association of NSW INC.)
